My in-law’s dog is a spoiled asshole.
When they aren’t home, he’ll sit in the chair by the living room window and bark at everything- headlights, sounds, anything.
So they leave, he starts barking and howling, so I go downstairs and close the blinds. There. No more stimulation and thinking that…
Don’t talk shit about my dog. <3
If you actually think that Loki is a better villain than Darth Vader then you can just stop. Everything. Shut up.
A shot of Binx’s sire making my dear fiance’s character uncomfortable.
"Oi Binx! Yer dad won’t get ‘is ‘ands off me!"

Aurelien Hubert - Ikoma Jeiku
Jeiku was a fellow we saw as having been out searching for / hunting Yodotai for a long time. Maaaybe a little too long. He’s grown to respect them at the very least, but also studies them to better gank them out in the desert.
Killing Blow - A LARP Christmas Carol
As promised, since I hit 100+ followers,
Binx’s Costume Progression
The top two pictures are from my second LARP event ever, September of 2011. My costume literally consisted of a black sports bra, black shorts, boots, and a polyester Halloween cape. Plus the pool noodle boffer bow. My male friends were unarmored and shirtless with horns, aside from the one who came to his first event in blue jeans. I don’t even want to talk about what my hair was doing- I didn’t know how to cope without electricity and my hair straightener.
The next picture (second row, left) was my winter wardrobe for that October. Looking slightly better and I added a mask. My boyfriend is wearing fur pauldrons I made for him and using a pool noodle boffer sword. Next (second row, right) was my summer costume for 2012 with a new boffer bow.
Onto 2013. (entire third row) This is where I started making my costume pieces. I made the bodice, fishnet overskirt, and garters while one of our other players made the scale mail pauldrons for me. I also began regularly wearing contacts and ear prosthetics. And of course, a new boffer bow.
The last picture was from this past event, July 2013. We’ve come a long way since 2011. We are actually armored, carrying more believable weapons, and our overall looks are just more badass.
While my earlier pictures are still a little embarrassing, this does show how far we’ve come when it comes to our costuming and that makes me proud. I’m sure our costumes will continue to change, but everyone has to start somewhere, right?
I have the coolest girlfriend.
I wanted to show everyone a video from me LARPing 3 years ago. I was having fun with the character and we hadn’t made movements towards defining what kind of LARP we wanted Avegost to be. In this video you will find a very traditional style LARP. I think that fun can be had at these LARPs, here is evidence that I found them fun at one point in time. I must admit that there is an appeal to the game side of this kind of LARP. However, I do not enjoy these as much anymore. I don’t know if it is my bad accent or the wolf thing standing next to me, but I am just a bit embarrassed by these old videos. I just wanted to show a side of me that maybe some of you hadn’t seen before.
To tell you all a bit about what is going on, I was acting as a PLOT member for Avegost LARP. We had said there was an infestation of spiders and that my character could create a repellant with the limbs of the creature and an attachable substance. This was their legs and their webs. My NPC needed a lot. So the PCs ran around killing spiders and giving me the tags they dropped.
This was more of a “game” then a “play”. Live Action Role Play means so much more then a Live Action Game. I wish I had seen things differently then or that I had made a better effort to challenge the players mentally instead of physically.
In the end, they had fun. <3
It’s really funny that you say you’re embarrassed by this video. You hate on what you call “traditional” LARPs, but this video and your other one about spell packets sure look pretty “traditional.” What was it that made you change your view on LARPing? The emphasis on Live Action Roleplaying should be “play.” It seems like people tend to forget that a lot.
